About Us : News : Current News Generous Bequest Helps SOCH Enhance Imaging Capabilities
Nuclear Medicine is one of the most advanced diagnostic imaging technologies available today. Thanks to a generous bequest in the will of Gladys Kelly, (who lived in West Creek for over 45 years), Southern Ocean County Hospital (SOCH) was able to purchase a sophisticated Gamma Camera, enabling the Hospital to enhance its already comprehensive abilities to diagnose and treat diseases such as cancer and heart disease. In recognition of Gladys Kelly’s extraordinary generosity, SOCH recently dedicated the newly renovated Nuclear Medicine department, renaming the facility “The Adelbert and Gladys Kelly Nuclear Medicine Suite”. SOCH Foundation Trustees Joan Hart and Dorothy Ryan, and members of the hospital staff welcomed family members Don and Carol Price, and Jean and Ted Nell, who were on hand for the dedication and unveiling of a commemorative plaque. “This state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment helps improve the quality of care we are able to provide to our community,” said Joseph P. Coyle, president and CEO of SOCH. “We are deeply indebted to Gladys Kelly and her family for this incredibly generous donation.” For additional information about the SOCH Foundation and charitable estate planning, please contact Chris Rollins, Executive Director, at (609) 978-3081. |
