The SOCH Foundation is pleased to announce a $12,000 grant from the TD Charitable Foundation, to support the Center for Health Sciences, a regional collaborative effort with area schools, aimed at attracting and educating needed healthcare professionals.
"Our Center for Health Sciences is an exciting and progressive collaboration," said Hospital CEO Joe Coyle, adding, "working with our partners in education, we believe we can meet the demand for clinical services in areas such as orthopedics, oncology, geriatrics, cardiology, and other areas demanded by our growing and aging population."
SOCH Foundation Executive Director Chris Rollins added, "SOCH is fortunate to have earned the support of the community we serve. TD Bank's endorsement means a great deal to us, helping others to realize the importance and value of reinvesting in the health of their community.."

We hope that the Center for Health Sciences will provide the residents of our community convenient access to the highest quality health care services,” said TD Bank regional vice president, David Nilsen.

Other SOCH Foundation-supported initiatives include the introduction of digital mammography, the new Cath/IR lab, new pediatric equipment, and the Tracy Armellino Telemetry Unit. The SOCH Foundation will soon turn its attention to planned improvements in the emergency department.
